A Biblical Poem
In your pages that are worn and inked with grace,
Your sacred stories always finds its place,
From Genesis to Revelation's end,
There is only little time, for our hearts to mend.
From mountains high, and valleys low,
In every tale, Your love does flow,
From Adam's fall to Noah's plight,
You guided our steps, Our Source of Light.
The chapters in Psalms sing soft, of joy and pain,
A heart that is laid bared, in loss and gain,
Through David’s voice the fears of hope made it seem that there was no care
But In every cry, I knew that you were always there.
The prophets speak with fervent fire,
A call to justice, to rise and aspire,
In Isaiah’s words, a promise bright,
A coming hope, our dark to light.
In the Gospels that is rich, Your life unfolds,
With parables and miracles that was told,
You walked among us, pure and true,
In every breath, love’s avenue.
The cross, is the symbol of your sacrifice,
To save us sinners so we would not have to pay the price,
Yet in three days death met defeat,
To a risen Savior, now our hope is complete.
So let us cherish, and hold it near,
The Bible’s truth, forever clear,
In every word, a path we find,
In the book of eternal life, for all mankind.
